Thanks for the suggestion.I'll have a look at the Megaupload Filehoster

Do you maybe try this with another Hoster?

Hallo!

http://--servername---/whsdmservice/DownloadPool.asmx

Ansonsten bitte nochmal melden!

Hi, I installed the 3.2.4 on HP mediasmart 490

Installation seemed to go fine, but the files will not start downloading, whether http, rapidshare free or pro.  It just sits there.

Any ideas?

Ok, I reinstalled it to see if I could get some info.

i had the folder set up and its in the firewall.

THe event log is all over the show.. and doesnt appear to be updating with new files.

It appears to be downloading, but only after clicking on delete list,... but for some reason a single rapidshare link gets downloaded as three parts (unless that is normal) but it doesnt appear to be updating the screen

This is the log

2/07/2010 8:00:33 p.m.: In OnStart
2/07/2010 8:00:33 p.m.: The channel 'tcp' is already registered.

The Logfile looks good.
If you download a File, the Download Manager split it into three parts.
It increase the Download Speed.
To update the Screen and to see the Download Progress, you must click the 'Refresh' Button.

Hallo,

Hallo !

Any chance on support for free users with this?
The premium support is nice, it's just that I don't uniformly have premium accounts for all supported hosters.

Thanks very much, keep up the good work

Hallo.

Tim Germany

8/10/2010 7:45:01 AM #

Hi Rui Di,

you must first select under Properties your Downlad Path.
It must be a UNC Path like \\yourServer\yourDownloadPath.

Hallo Tim,

Ansonsten bitte nochmal melden!

Hi,

I've installed the WHS Download manager (3.2.4), the WHSDM-webservice, and the firefox addin. Selecting files via Firefox works great, and they get added to the download list, but the files do not download, and their size is also reported as 0 Mb. I've set the Download path as "\\SERVER\Software\Downloads", and I've added "C:\Program Files\WHSDM Software\WHS Download Manager\WHShDown.exe" as an Exception to the Firewall, I've included my Log file below:

20/08/2010 18:30:57: In OnStart
20/08/2010 18:31:02: The channel 'tcp' is already registered.

20/08/2010 18:33:53: ex:Conversion from type 'DBNull' to type 'String' is not valid.

I have no idea what the above means, so any help would be appreciated. I'd really like to get this working as the combination of the Firefox addin and the ability to schedule downloads is a great thing to have.

Hello,

I'm having the same issue as Mark, i.e. no files will download. The event log is filled with "ex:Conversion from type 'DBNull' to type 'String' is not valid." every 6 seconds or so. The files I am trying to download are ebooks purchased from O'Reilly, so I can't post the URLs, however I have also tried the url for the WHS Download Manager plugin with the same effect.

Thanks for Report of the DBnull Exception.
Please try a URL that Ends with a File ..like www.pixelvalley.de\yourfile.zip.
It is important that you use a URL that has no wait counter or something else.
It must be the Real Path to the File.
I check this Exception but it would be really helpful to get only one URL from somebody that not work Smile

The link from this post http://www.pixelvalley.de/Blog/file.axd?file=2010%2f6%2fWHS-Download+Manager+3.2.4.zip is one of the ones I have tried.

However, removing the some of the files which weren't downloading seems to have 'kicked it' into downloading the remainder - including the above

Sean Ellingham United Kingdom

Some further investigation shows that the ebook URLs I was downloading redirect to the actual file. These are now downloading, but don't seem to complete successfully, as I end up with a 13KB file with an 18 digit numeric file name and no extension - when I should get a 14.7MB PDF.

Hi Tom,

please go to the Settings Menu in your Windows Home Server Console.
you find a new Entry Download Manager. There you can put your Filehoster Credential.

Hi Sean,

maybe there is another redirect to the right File?
But without a URL there is mere surmise...
