Hi everyone,
we promised to get you a user's guide for our WP7 app file:recon.
Well, here it is:
file.recon.users.guide.beta.1.1.pdf (1.15 mb)
It took a while but I am proud to present you with the first beta version.
Most of the features are covered and you should get an overview of file:recon's functionality.
Since there's only the file:recon beta released some upcoming features were left out for this publishing. We will continue to update the user's guide according to the file:recon version.
Enjoy to dive even deeper into file:recon!

We did it. file:recon beta is ready to be tested.
For those of you who haven't signed up already, there is still time to get on board. Just send us an email and you will be on the list.
Thanks for your patience and for staying with us for so long. Those of you who signed up as beta testers will be provided with a download link to the beta release.
A complete user's manual is in the making and will be available in a couple of days.
We've tried to keep things basic and easy, 'cause we think you don't want to hassle with your phone. So most of the things are self-explanatory. However, here are some quick tips on how to set up a connection to the Server Transfer-Manager (STM) to get you started:
Before you start file:recon you should make sure STM is set up for a connection.
- In STM go to Transfer settings and in the Network section check enable network connection
- Enter a username and password of your choice and make sure to write it down for you will need it later on in the file:recon setup
- Klick on save to apply the settings
With this done you can now connect file:recon to STM:
- expand the appbar and tap on server connection
- enter your homeserver URL, the port number (8000) and the username/password you entered in STM as mentioned before
- if you want to receive notifications when a captcha should be entered, switch on Allow STM push notifications
- tap check connection to see if everything works out
When all is set tap apply in the appbar or cancel to discard the changes.
On the summay page tap transfer pool to see detailed information about your transfers.
You will find details to every feature in the upcoming user's manual.
We hope you'll enjoy using file:recon.
