WHS-Download Manager 3.2.3
The Download Manager had some trouble with the WHSDM Windows Service recently. So Version 3.2.3 has a new thread management running in the background and also new download methods. This new Version includes a Multi-Link feature to improve the download speed. Any file will be split into three segmented parts. Each Segment has a seperate connection to the filehoster. This should increase your download speed.
Please notice that the Multi-Link Feature is only available for Premium users.
Also new is the Resume Function for all filehoster and the modifided save.tv Record Download includes the
.info file for Cutbutler to remove commercials in the TV recording.
The
DLC-Container users have the possibility to drag the file to the download folder. The Download Manager
recognizes the file & filehoster and transfers them (if the filehoster user data is stored) to the Download Pool.
WHS-Download Manager 3.2.3 supports following filehoster:

WHS-Download Manager 3.2.2
There is support for another filehoster
WHSDM-Service 1.0.1
There are two new extensions for the WHS-Download Manager available.
The WHSDM Webservice extension. It extends your Windows Home Server
with a Webservice, that you can operate from your browser or another application.
The URL is http://yourservername/whsdmservice/DownloadPool.asmx
The Webservice awaits a String with semicolon separated URLs. After the filehoster check, the
URLs are added to the Download Pool.
Firefox Add-on
The first Appllication that uses this Webservice is a Firefox Add-on from Daniel Siegers.
After the installation you must configure the Add-on.
Start the Firefox Add-on, select the WHS Download Manager Client Add-on
and edit the name of your Home Server under 'Settings' in the URL http://yourservername/whsdmservice/DownloadPool.asmx
Now you can download the file(s) to your harddisk or send the URL to the Home Server.
Note: If you use a filehoster with a premium account, please deposit Username and Password on the Server.
Please install the WHS-Download Manager and the WHS-Service from your Windows Home Server
Remote Console (Settings-Add-Ins). The Firefox Addon must be installed from the Firefox Browser.
You must enable the Remote Access under Windows Home Server 'Settings' to activate the Webservice.
Note: The WHS-Download Manager 3.2.3 is also available!

If the Remote Application fails to get connected to the server:

Please check your Homeserver firewall settings. The Application uses Port 8085
to communicate with the server.
One solution is: Homeserver Remote Desktop
Start--> Control Panel--> Windows Firewall --> Exceptions<
Add Program -- Navigate to c:\Program Files\WHSDM Software\WHS Download Manager\WHShDown.exe

To make the new version even better, i would like to collect new ideas, functions and suggestions for the
forthcoming versions. Some ideas are:
- Unzip/Decompress Files (Password Protected)
- New Filehoster
- Upload Function (deactivated in Version 3.2.0 for redesign!)
- FTP Function (deactivated in Version 3.2.0 for redesign!)
The version 3.2.1 has some bugfixes and one new great feature for Online TV-Recording.
The new version supports files download from save.tv and the option to automatically
download finished TV-Recordings from the save.tv online archive. You're scheduling your recording
online and the Windows Home Server downloads the file automatically for you when the recording is ready for download.
